Welcome to SIPit 26 in Sweden – May 17 – 21, 2010! This event is organized by the SIP Forum, hosted by Edvina  in cooperation with TANDBERG, Intertex, Ingate and .se! The IPv6 Forum is an association partner for SIPit26, helping us to add, document and improve our tests for IPv6 and SIP.  SNOM Technologies provide us with phones for all the teams. SIPit is the test event for all SIP products and services – this is where the industry test interoperability, making sure that the products work together across vendors, across networks and across different versions of the Internet Protocol – version 4 and version 6.

Registration is now open – please register here!

If you have any questions about SIPit 26, please mail sipit (at) edvina.net.

Welcome to Kista, the IT valley north of Stockholm

SIPit will be taking place in Kista, the Telecom Valley north of downtown Stockholm. It’s easy to reach with subway and commuter trains from downtown Stockholm. It’s located between Stockholm and the Stockholm airport, Arlanda.

We have a list of hotel recommendations for you. You can choose between staying in Kista, in Sollentuna or in downtown Stockholm. From Stockholm, there’s a 20 minute commute out to Kista. Both Kista and Sollentuna has newly renovated huge shopping malls with food courts. Follow the links on the right hand side.

What is SIPit?

The SIPit, or Session Initiation Protocol Interoperability Test, is a weeklong event where people bring their SIP implementations to ensure they work together. SIPit has been organized by the SIP Forum for over ten years, contributing to greater interoperability between SIP implementations and improvements of the IETF SIP specifications.

Each SIPit is open to anyone with a working SIP implementation. The goal of the events is to refine both the protocol and its implementations. SIPit is a driving force shaping SIP into a globally interoperable protocol for real time Internet communication services. To watch a video presentation of SIPit 25 by Dan York  - click here!

Currently, SIPit is held twice a year. Different companies or organizations host each event, and each host chooses the venue. SIPit 26 is hosted by Edvina in cooperation with Tandberg.

The SIP Forum coordinates these events (Robert Sparks is the current coordinator).
